To avoid a planning submission, the original external appearance of the single storey building had to be retained.  This required erecting a new steel frame within the building shell and installing additional piles with cantilvered ground beams.  To maximise floor space and flexibility the internal space was required to be column free and an additional floor was constructed in the roof space.

Fowlers have been one of our long established Client’s since the early 1980’s. We provided Structural and Civil Engineering services when they re-located to Temple Meads in 1982 and have carried out various alteration and refurbishment work since.
