The building is a 17m high steel framed strucuture with curved cell beam rafters on piled foundations.  A 38m span 10 tonne OHT crane is supported on the main columns

 The test rigs, to be installed at a later date, are highly calibrated and as such the test bay slab needed to be designed to very strict deflection limits - span/1200.  A piled flat slab was design using both traditional methods and finite element analysis to ensure this was achieved.

Djp provided Civil and Structural Engineering design of new hi-tech offices, hi-tech high bay warehouse and water treatment plant with associated drainage as a part the development at Rolls Royce's Filton plant.
